 LATEST: Iran Will Not Attend Another Meeting with USA

As of 6:54 PM eastern US Time on Monday, April 20, 2026, Iran's foreign minister has ruled out a second round of negotiations with the United States despite Washington sending a delegation to the Pakistani capital.

Of course, like everything else concerning the Iran conflict, this could change.   I've never seen such a fiasco over peace negotiations.

Much earlier today, the Iran Foreign Ministry said "The fact that the American delegation has traveled to Islamabad is their own affair.’

So from very early today until very late into the evening in Iran, the message has been quite clear: Iran is not interested. (SOURCE)

TRUMP: "CEASEFIRE WILL **NOT** BE EXTENDED - Either A deal Tomorrow, or Fighting Resumes

US President Donald Trump stated publicly moments ago, that the ceasefire agreement will no longer be extended, and if the agreement is not reached, then the bombing will begin.  The deadline comes at 5:00 PM eastern US Time, Tuesday.

According to Trump, he does not know whether the Iranian delegation will go to Pakistan for negotiations.

For reference, according to Trump, the American delegation has already traveled to Pakistan, but the media reports that Vice-President Vance, Presidential Special Envoy Witkoff, and Presidential Son-in-Law Kushner will travel to Islamabad tomorrow.

Just yesterday, we were all told that Vice President Vance would NOT be going because the Secret Service could not work out security protections on such short notice.  Now, we're being told that Vice-President Vance __is__ going.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian:

“Honoring commitments is the basis of meaningful dialogue. Deep historical mistrust in Iran toward U.S. government conduct remains, while unconstructive and contradictory signals from American officials carry a bitter message; they seek Iran's surrender. Iranians do not submit to force.”

Kurdish Forces:

KURDISH FORCES ISSUE DIRECT THREAT TO IRGC “Prepare for Zero Hour. The storm is coming to wipe out the IRGC completely.”

That’s the message published by Kurdish forces today, signaling a potential escalation (or just Psy-Op propaganda).

Less than 24 hours after it was reopened, the Strait of Hormuz is CLOSED again.  Iran announced that the Strait would "return to its previous state" after the U.S refused to lift its blockade of Iran's ports.

According to Sky News and the Daily Mail, Iranian gunboats have opened fire on SEVERAL VESSELS trying to get through the strait.  AT least two vessels have reportedly been hit.

Ships in the Persian Gulf began to turn around -again - as they approached the Strait Hormuz Saturday morning.
