180° Turn: Trump Now Says "Putin a Bad Guy; Have to Give Ukraine More Weapons"
Something staggering just took place in Washington, DC that caused the US position on the Russia-Ukraine Conflict to make an almost 180° turn. Last night, President Donald Trump publicly stated ‘I’m not happy with President Putin at all,’ and went on to say "We're going to give more weapons to Ukraine. . . ."
It was just last week when the Pentagon said it would hold back delivering some air defense missiles, precision-guided artillery, and other weapons due to concerns that U.S. stockpiles declined too much.
A Pentagon spokesperson said yesterday ‘At President Trump’s direction, the Department of Defense is sending additional defensive weapons to Ukraine to ensure the Ukrainians can defend themselves while we work to secure a lasting peace and ensure the killing stops.’
The Kremlin on Tuesday warned that sending arms to Ukraine only serves to prolong the conflict. “It is obvious of course that these actions probably do not align with attempts to promote a peaceful resolution,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying in a briefing. This appears to be something like dealing with a Schizophrenic. One moment, the US acknowledges Russia's national security concerns and realizes that having Ukraine in NATO, with American missiles on Ukraine soil with a five minute or so flight time to Moscow is something the Russians' cannot tolerate. The next moment, the US pivots back to a sort of child-like "Russia bad" position.
AS the US goes through this sort of Schizophrenic alteration, more and more people on both sides of the conflict, are getting killed. Russia is making significant territorial gains and its war-making ability continues to increase.
As it stands right now, July 8, 2025, Russia makes more military weaponry in three months, than the United States and all of its NATO allies COMBINED can make in one year. The US and NATO simply do not have the manufacturing ability to change this, and so rational people see there is no hope for Ukraine. Ukraine supporters, however, hope that by prolonging the fight, they can somehow prevail; except -- hope -- is not a strategy.
This thinking by the US and Ukraine supporters will only result in the complete ruin of the collective West, which is long past teetering on Bankruptcy, and still does not have the manufacturing ability to change the outcome to avoid Russian victory.
Is the US now willing to go completely off the financial deep end and utterly destroy itself over a war they cannot win?
In the process, what happens if/when Russia decides that its only alternative is to begin striking the US and NATO? It would only take about a dozen well-placed, CONVENTIONAL missile strikes to completely cripple US war manufacturing. This can be achieved with Russian Submarines, which are already positioned in the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean and in the Gulf.
Once such CONVENTIONAL strikes begin, it's World War 3, which will likely go nuclear very fast - within hours or days - and that's the end of the entire northern hemisphere!
